Black Jack resembles of the game "21" og and is also said to origin from the frech game "vingt-et-un" (twenty-and-one) that in America in the early 19th century developed in to the game that is now found in casinoes all over the world: Black Jack.
Black Jack is played with six decks of 52 cards. All players play against the bank and the object is to come closer to 21 than the bank.
Aces has the value of one or eleven, facecards the value of 10 and other cards has the printed value.
All players recieve 2 cards (Known as: A hand) and the bank recieves one card. Following, all players in turn, has to make one of the following choices:

Stand - the player chooses to continue the game with the initial dealt two cards

Card - the player chooses to try and improve the hand by recieving another card

Split - if the player has two cards of the same value, the player may choose to split the two cards in to two seperate hands. This is done by betting extra - equal to the original bet. The player will then recive a new "second" card and may choose action again

Double - if the players two first cards sum up to 9, 10 or 11, the player may choose to double the original bet. If so, the player will only recieve one more card.

When all payers have made their choices, the Dealer will draw cards for the bank. This is done following strict rules: When the bank has 16 or less it will recieve another card. When the bank has 17 or more the bank will stay.
After this, winning bets are payed 1:1, loosing bets are removed and Black Jack combinations (Ace + 10 or Ace + facecard on the first two cards) are payed 3:2. Hands with the same total as the bank's will "push" and the bet goes back to the player.
